On November 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, in the course of his participation in the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh.
The sides discussed the issues of implementing joint investment projects and further expanding practical cooperation in the field of “green” energy.
The Head of our state noted with particular satisfaction the fruitful partnership with the leading company “ACWA Power”, which is actively involved in the modernization of Uzbekistan's energy sector through direct investments and advanced technologies.
Particular attention has been paid to accelerating the implementation of projects on construction of wind and solar power plants in the regions of our country, as well as production of “green” hydrogen.
An agreement was reached on the involvement of Saudi companies and consultants in the processes of increasing localization and energy efficiency of the country's enterprises.
