On November 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban at the residence reserved for him as part of the program of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States taking place in Bishkek.
Topical issues of further development of Uzbek-Hungarian relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.
Practical results of interaction were noted with particular satisfaction. Trade turnover indicators and the scale of industrial cooperation are growing, and work is underway to create an industrial park in Tashkent region. In October, the first Forum of Regions was held in the city of Kokand. Important joint cultural events will be held in Budapest this month.
The two leaders reviewed the schedule of bilateral events. The importance of forming a new portfolio of trade, economic and investment cooperation projects of the leading companies was emphasized.
Exchange of views on topical issues on the regional agenda also took place.
