President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of that country Dmitry Chernyshenko on November 1.
The Russian delegation also included Ministers Alexey Chekunkov and Sergey Kravtsov.
Topical issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Russian multifaceted relations in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko conveyed greetings to the Head of our state on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the expansion of educational and humanitarian exchange between the two countries, including the issues of activity and launch of new branches of leading Russian universities in Uzbekistan, training of highly qualified pedagogical staff.
The sides emphasized the importance of adopting a joint “road map” for establishing practical partnership between the regions of our country and Russia's Far Eastern regions.
The sides noted the interest in increasing mutual tourist flow, holding joint cultural and sport events.
