President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the New Development Bank of the Organization Dilma Rousseff as part of the program of events at the BRICS summit.

The parties discussed issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with this reputable multilateral financial institution.

Programs and projects in education and technological development, support for the social sector, modernization of industry, infrastructure and logistics, digitalization, energy and utility networks have been noted as promising areas of partnership.

An agreement was reached to form a joint expert group to prepare specific cooperation projects.
