On October 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Almalyk in Tashkent region.
The foundation and driving force of this city is the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant. Largely due to this complex, the economy is developing, jobs, housing, cultural and educational institutions of the city are being created.
Today, it is necessary to ensure continuous growth, keep up with the times. The Head of State sets the task of developing each sphere on a scientific basis.
In this regard, personnel training has been established in Almalyk. In particular, branches of the Tashkent State Technical University and the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys have been opened in the city. Recently, in addition to them, the Engineering School of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant was established.
The President first got acquainted with the activities of this school.
Here, based on German experience, 480 engineers will be trained annually and thousands of employees will improve their qualifications. The educational process is carried out with the participation of foreign professors and teachers.
The curriculum is based on the advanced educational methods of the Freiberg Mining Academy in Germany, GP Günter Papenburg AG and Aurubis AG. Accordingly, the school is equipped with modern training and practical equipment in such areas as mechanics, metallurgy, production automation, mineral processing, and power engineering.
The Head of State visited these offices and talked to the young people in training.
- Times are changing and innovations are entering every field. To become a well qualified specialist, you must constantly work on yourself. The future of the plant lies in digitalization. It is necessary to digitalize every department, every stage of production, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The third copper processing plant is being built at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant. Future specialists are already being prepared.
In a short period of time, more than 100 young people have been trained here and are already employed at enterprises in the industry.
The President emphasized the need to further improve the effectiveness of the school. To achieve this, classes should be held regularly and, most importantly, closely linked to practice.
On June 20 this year, a videoconference was held on the training of personnel in the engineering industries and further improvement of the activities of higher education institutions. Then, it is planned to create 10 higher engineering schools at the first stage. In order to strengthen the "industry - enterprise - university" chain, an industrial partner will be identified for each of them.
Engineering schools are organized as part of higher educational institutions in leading areas. They will provide in-depth teaching of mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering graphics, computer science and foreign languages. Bachelor's and master's degrees will be organized according to the "4 + 1" scheme. Students will be selected from the second year in their specialties to train target personnel for industrial partners.
Professors and teachers of these schools will be sent to advanced training in leading foreign institutions at the expense of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, the relevant partner and the university. Industrial partners, based on the development of the industry, will create modern laboratories.
