On September 10, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.
The Russian delegation is visiting our country in the framework of the Joint Commission's fifth meeting at the level of the Heads of government of Uzbekistan and Russia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Head of our state.
During the talks, the issues of further expansion of multidimensional cooperation, comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia were considered.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of decisions and agreements reached during the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan on May 26-28 this year.
In this context, the fruitful results of the regular meeting of the Joint Commission held the previous day were highly appreciated.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the dynamics of trade flows, support and accelerate cooperative projects in industry, energy complex, agriculture, transport and other priority sectors of the economy was noted.
The Head of our State called for further development of practical cooperation at the level of regions, continuation of intensive cultural and humanitarian exchange and organization of effective cooperation in the field of migration.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
