On September 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Republic of Türkiye comprised of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and Director of the National Intelligence Organization of Türkiye İbrahim Kalın.
At the beginning of the meeting, high guests conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Leader of our state.
Topical issues of further strengthening of the Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and development of multidimensional cooperation in the context of implementation of the agreements of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Türkiye on June 6-7 were considered.
The fruitful results of today’s joint meeting of Ministers and Heads of the two State agencies were highly appreciated. The importance of continuing regular and systematic contacts in accordance with the adopted road map and broadening the format and agenda of such negotiations was stressed.
Issues of deepening political dialogue and promotion of trade-economic and investment cooperation projects were discussed. Special attention was paid to strengthening inter-ministerial coordination and joint activities to counter modern challenges and threats to security.
Views were also exchanged on the relevant aspects of regional interaction and cooperation within international organizations.
