On August 30, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of our State warmly congratulated the President of Belarus on his anniversary, wishing him good health and great success, well-being and prosperity to the friendly Belarusian people.

In turn, the President of Belarus sincerely congratulated the Leader and multinational people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming Independence Day, addressing wishes for peace, sustainable development and progress.

During the discussion, issues of practical implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 7-9 this year were considered, in accordance with the adopted “road map”.

The fruitful results of the recent visit of a delegation headed by Natalia Kochanova, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, to our country were highly appreciated.

The importance of accelerating the preparation and implementation of joint industrial cooperation projects, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian exchange was noted.
