On August 23, a ceremonial welcome for the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was held at the "Kuksaroy" residence during his state visit to Uzbekistan.

The square, adorned with the national flags of both countries, featured a ceremonial guard in honor of the Azerbaijani President.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, warmly greeted the distinguished guest and invited him to the podium. The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were played.

The leaders reviewed the guard of honor and greeted the members of the official delegations.

Following a joint photo session, the presidents began their closed-door negotiations.
