At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan from August 22 to 23.

According to the program, high-level talks and the first session of the Supreme Interstate Council chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, will take place in Tashkent.

The summit's agenda includes discussions on further deepening and expanding Uzbek-Azerbaijani strategic partnership relations and multifaceted cooperation. Key topics will include boosting mutual trade, developing a new portfolio of cooperative projects, fostering business contacts, including interregional exchanges, unlocking transport and communication potential, enhancing cultural and humanitarian ties, and more.

It's also envisaged that the Presidents will hold a meeting with business representatives of the two countries and participate in a range of business and cultural events.
