On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The National Leader of Turkmenistan cordially congratulated the Head of our state on the occasion of his birthday, warmly wishing him sound health and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Uzbekistan.

They discussed topical issues of the Uzbek-Turkmen multifaceted relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership. The productive results of the recent meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council were noted with satisfaction.

The importance of further increasing trade turnover, promoting new cooperation projects and developing cultural exchanges was stressed.
