Dear young men and women!
I sincerely and wholeheartedly congratulate you on the wonderful holiday celebrated in our country - Youth Day.
In order to achieve the high goals we have set for ourselves in building the New Uzbekistan, we rely on our entire nation, including you - courageous and determined young men and women. Therefore, ensuring the rights and interests of young people, educating the younger generation as harmoniously developed individuals, remains at the forefront of our attention as one of the priority directions of state policy.
In recent years, a unique vertical management system has been created in our country to work with youth. Through youth leaders - representatives of the President in mahallas - at the grassroots level, many youth issues related to vocational training, employment, meaningful leisure, and social support are being addressed.
Our young men and women feel the real results of the extensive work conducted based on the "Youth Notebook" and the "Youth Balance" platform.
Thanks to the implementation of a new system aimed at increasing youth incomes through the allocation of land plots, this year alone, 156 thousand young men and women were granted 30-year leases on 60 thousand hectares of land, based on the recommendations from the “mahalla top seven”.
We are all undoubtedly pleased that the youth are making effective use of the opportunities created and are achieving great success in various fields. In the past academic year alone, 55 of our schoolchildren won 8 gold, 15 silver, and 32 bronze medals in prestigious international Olympiads in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, and compute science. In major international cultural and artistic competitions, 383 students won Grand Prix, and 1,359 took first place.
We felt immense joy and pride when, at the recent Asian Football Campionship in Qatar, the Uzbek national team qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time in the country’s history.
What a talented, educated, and brave youth we have! These young men and women are worthy representatives of the New Uzbekistan, our invaluable wealth and golden fund.
Dear young friends!
Today, the colossal work carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of youth policy is being recognized on the world stage. Last year, according to the Youth Development Index, Uzbekistan was recognized as one of the fastest developing countries in the field of youth policy. Uzbekistan was also included by the United Nations among the top 10 countries in the world for exemplary implementation of the "Youth Strategy - 2030". In 2022, the city of Bukhara was declared the Youth Capital of the Turkic World, and in 2024, our city of Tashkent became the first Youth Capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
It would be correct to say that the ongoing Global Youth Festival, which is currently taking place in our country, serves to confirm the high esteem in which Uzbekistan holds itself. More than 700 young men and women from 92 countries, leaders and representatives of over 20 leading international organizations, ministries and departments of foreign states are taking part in this forum. Most importantly, our youth are gaining more and more friends and partners around the world, expanding their opportunities for acquiring knowledge and professions, participating in global dialogue and cooperation.
Dear young men and women!
A nation and a state where children are talented, educated, confident in their abilities and potential, eager to learn new things, undoubtedly awaits a bright future. We mobilize all our capabilities to nurture such youth of Uzbekistan.
Always remember that if you value every moment of your life, live with creativity and creation, and love your Motherland unconditionally, you will undoubtedly reach great heights.
Once again, I congratulate all on today's holiday, wish you health, happiness and success on your path to your goals.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev,
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
