On June 26, during his visit to Jizzakh region, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received BYD President Wang Chuanfu.

The successful activity of the joint enterprise on producing hybrid and electric cars in Jizzakh was noted with great satisfaction. Today the first electric car came from the factory. 

As part of the first phase of the project, US $ 160 million was invested, 1,2 thousand jobs were created. The enterprise organizes high-tech production, including welding, painting and assembly.

During the meeting, the President of our state stressed the need in the near future to expand the model range and increase production capacity to 500 thousand per year.

Special attention was paid to the projects of localization of components and spare parts to reduce the cost of production, as well as the organization of export of cars to the markets of Central Asia and the CIS.

The company’s plans to participate in the “green” transport development project in our country were also supported. It is the creation of a joint innovative research center for training, development of technical regulations and standards for electric transport and production of batteries of the latest generation “Blade” and BYD electric buses.
