On June 11, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai.

The Head of the American Department conveyed to the Leader of Uzbekistan the greetings and best wishes from the US President Joe Biden.

During the meeting topical issues of further strengthening of bilateral strategic partnership, expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation were considered.

Intensification of business contacts and steady growth of mutual trade and investment were noted with satisfaction.

Cooperative relations are developing with leading enterprises and banks of the USA, including companies as “Air Products”, “Coca Cola”, “Citibank”, “Visa” and many others.

Issues related to the accession of Uzbekistan to the WTO, renewal of the GSP system, deepening of practical interaction within the framework of the "C5+1" and Trade and Investment Framework Agreement were discussed.

The importance of launching a joint platform to identify new sectors and promote industrial cooperation projects was noted.
