On June 4, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Co-Chairman of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Mohammad Abunayyan.

The topical issues of further expansion of practical cooperation with leading companies of Saudi Arabia and the progress of implementation of joint investment projects were considered.

The Head of our State noted with satisfaction the high level of fruitful partnership with ACWA Power.

The leading role of the company in the development of the country’s energy market was emphasized. Today, the combined portfolio of existing and prospective projects is more than 17 billion.

The importance of continuing to attract new Saudi companies to our country through the activities of the Business Council was noted.

Special attention was paid to accelerating the implementation of joint projects on the construction and management of airports, modernization of digital and energy infrastructure, expansion of heat supply networks, waste treatment, production of pharmaceutical products, opening of oncological clinics, creation of tourist center, textile cluster, development of greenhouse and livestock and others.
