On 3 May, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Naguib Sawiris, Executive Chairman of Orascom Investment Holding, who is visiting our country to participate in the Third Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the meeting, the issues of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and promotion of joint projects of cooperation in accordance with previously reached agreements were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the issues of attracting direct investment to implement projects in various sectors of the Uzbek economy, including mining, food production, tourism, construction, infrastructure development and others.

Naguib Sawiris expressed his readiness to make every effort to increase Egyptian investments in our country.
