On May 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Republic of Türkiye, led by Vice-President Cevdet Yılmaz, who arrived in our country to participate in the Third Tashkent International Investment Forum.

At the beginning of the meeting, Cevdet Yılmaz conveyed sincere greetings and good wishes of the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the Head of our country.

The topical issues of further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership and multidimensional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were discussed.

The ongoing intensive contacts at all levels were noted with great satisfaction. The volume of trade turnover, the number of joint projects and enterprises, and the frequency of direct flights are increasing.

Major investment projects in the energy, mining, food, textiles and other priority sectors are being implemented with the participation of leading Turkish companies.

Special attention was paid to the preparation of the agenda for the next meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, in particularly to the formation of a new portfolio of cooperation projects and a program of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
