The program of events for the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan has been completed.

Negotiations between the Uzbek Leader and President Emomali Rahmon took place yesterday in both a narrow and an expanded format. Following the talks, the Presidents signed a Treaty on Allied Relations, marking a new historic milestone in bilateral relations.

A ceremony was held to honor a group of cultural and artistic figures from both countries who were conferred with high honorary titles by Presidential Decree. The Leaders attended a joint concert entitled "Evening of Friendship".

Today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the Lower House of the Tajik Parliament, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, and the Prime Minister, Kohir Rasulzoda.

The Leaders inaugurated our country’s new embassy building in Dushanbe and visited an exhibition of industrial goods from Uzbekistan.

The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon saw the President of Uzbekistan off at Dushanbe International Airport. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent.
