An "Evening of Friendship" was held at the “Kohi Borbad” Palace of Arts in the city of Dushanbe, with the participation of artists from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended the concert together.

The tradition of holding joint concerts with artists from both countries has become a cherished symbol of the enduring and sincere Uzbek-Tajik friendship. Becoming closer to each other, living in peace and harmony – these have been the age-old aspirations and sincere wishes of our peoples. Today, these dreams and aspirations are becoming a reality, thanks to the will and efforts of the leaders of both countries, our peoples have become even closer and interstate relations have reached the level of an alliance.

The concert programme was another confirmation of these features. The songs and music performed by talented artists embodied the richness, diversity and, at the same time, the similarity of the cultures of our peoples.
