On April 9, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a phone conversation, warmly congratulated the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan – Eid al-Fitr. 

The Presidents expressed sincere wishes for peace, well-being and prosperity to the brotherly peoples of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

The current issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership were also discussed.

The growing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, including active political dialogue and growing dynamics in trade, economic and investment spheres, fruitful cultural and humanitarian exchanges were noted with satisfaction.

Special attention was paid to the promotion of cooperation projects of leading enterprises and companies, expansion of practical interaction at the level of regions of the two countries.

The schedule of forthcoming events was considered, in particular, the issue of holding the next high-level meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye also exchanged views on the regional agenda.
