Dear compatriots!
I sincerely congratulate all of you, the Muslims of our country, the people of Uzbekistan, who have spent the holy month of Ramadan with pure hearts and faith in their souls, performing all the rites and prayers as prescribed by our sacred religion, and today joyfully and eagerly welcome the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. I express my deep respect and best wishes to all of you.
We thank Allah for these blessed moments.
May the Almighty accept our prayers and sincere intentions that come from the heart!
May our noble deeds continue in the name of the highest value - in the name of humanity!
Dear compatriots!
As known, Islam is a religion of peace, goodness, and humanism. This is confirmed by what is said in our sacred books: “It is inherent for a true Muslim to aspire to live in peace, friendship, and harmony.”
This year, during the days of the holy month of Ramadan, these values have been even more vividly manifested in our lives. We have all deeply felt the harmony between the ongoing large-scale reforms in the country and the noble ideals of our religion.
All conditions have been created for Muslims to freely perform religious rites during this month of pure thoughts and hopes. Attention and care have been strengthened for the sick, disabled individuals, elderly people, and low-income families. Therefore, material assistance amounting to more than 20 billion sums has been provided to the needy, while mahallas and charitable organizations in all regions have organized evening meals (iftars) and charitable events during the fasting days.
Another embodiment of the noble traditions of the sacred month was the iftar ceremonies held in Namangan on the evening of March 25, with the participation of representatives of the public from three regions of the Fergana Valley. This noble initiative embraced the mahallas of our entire country, as if the entire multiethnic people of Uzbekistan gathered at one dastarkhan.
It is worth noting that during the days of the holy month of Ramadan, a group of our ulema visited foreign countries, conveyed sincere greetings and good wishes of our people to our compatriots living there, and conducted enlightening conversations.
Dear friends!
In the New Uzbekistan, necessary conditions are being created to ensure freedom of conscience and religion for representatives of all nations and faiths in the country, as well as the development of their languages, cultures, and traditions. New mosques are being built, places of worship for great thinkers and theologians are being improved, and national and religious values are being revived. Broad opportunities are being provided for performing the sacred Hajj and Umrah.
This year, due to Eid al-Fitr, three days have been declared public holidays in our country. Undoubtedly, this will contribute to a more meaningful celebration of the holiday and the establishment of an atmosphere of kindness and mercy in society.
Certainly, such work will be continued. I believe we all understand well that in the current extremely difficult and tense situation in the world, it is necessary to protect the peace and tranquility prevailing on our land, like the apple of our eye, and to further consolidate and elevate our reforms aimed at ensuring the interests of the people.
We highly appreciate the example of cooperation shown by veterans, representatives of the religious and enlightenment sphere, multicultural friendship societies, and their active participation in the national project “Yashil Makon.”
We must not forget that raising our children in the spirit of national values as harmoniously developed individuals who deeply master modern knowledge and professions, and who cherish and love their homeland, is our primary duty. In particular, we must strengthen educational work in educational institutions and mahallas based on the idea of “Humanism is our goal, enlightenment is our strength.”
We support the initiative of compatriots who have performed the Hajj and Umrah and expressed their willingness to participate in this work together with the “Seventh” and mahalla activists.
In these blessed moments, we sincerely congratulate our compatriots abroad, the entire Muslim ummah of distant and near abroad, on the occasion of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
Dear compatriots!
On this beautiful day, when our hearts are filled with special joy, I once again wholeheartedly congratulate you and your families on the bright holiday of Eid al-Fitr. I wish you all health, happiness, and prosperity.
May all our good hopes come true!
May our homeland thrive!
Happy Eid al-Fitr!
