Over the past five years, investments totaling more than US$4 billion have been attracted to Jizzakh region. The volume of industrial production amounted to 50 trillion Uzbek soums, with exports reaching US$861 million.

This year, 400 projects with a total value of US$2 billion will be implemented in the region. As a result, 11 thousand new jobs will be created.

New plans have been presented to the Head of State. Foreign investors and local entrepreneurs have agreed to implement 50 projects worth US$6.1 billion.

The projects cover such high-demand industries as mining, engineering, electronics, chemicals, textiles, food, agriculture, medicine and pharmaceuticals. In particular, these projects will create nearly 20 thousand new jobs.

The President wished the investors success in the implementation of the projects. Responsible officials have been instructed to monitor the implementation of the projects.
