President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the ADM Jizzakh car factory.
Jizzakh region used to be one of the regions with the lowest industrial indicators. Today, industry has penetrated every district of the region.
Jizzakh Free Economic Zone plays an important role in industrial development of this region, ranking third in production and sixth in exports. In recent years, the zone's activities have been improved and production possibilities have been greatly expanded. Currently, 33 projects are being implemented in the industrial zone, employing 7,670 people.
ADM Jizzakh LLC is one of the successful companies operating in the industrial zone. It was founded in 2021. Over the past three years it has produced 36 thousand cars of 23 types under the "Kia", "Chery" and "Haval" brands.
The project has involved an investment of US$ 234 million and has created 1.8 thousand jobs.
In the first stage, large-scale assembly production was established. At the same time, the factory was expanded and new buildings and equipment were put into operation in March this year. Hence, a high-tech production process has been organized, including stamping, welding, painting and assembly.
The President had a detailed acquaintance with the production process at the factory.
The factory features high-tech equipment from South Korea, Japan and Germany. There are 30 robots installed in the factory, with 33% automation. Equipment has been installed to check the serviceability of vehicle chassis, static and dynamic braking systems.
The President gave instructions to increase the level of localization and expand cooperation with the country's industrial enterprises.
Work has already begun to move in this direction. It is planned to localize 348 types of components in 2024-2027. At present, cooperation has been established with 21 enterprises in the country.
In general, the company has created the capacity to produce 100 thousand cars per year. It is planned to increase the number of jobs to three thousand.
Qualified specialists from South Korea, India, China and Vietnam have been hired to improve the quality of the vehicles. Starting this year, the first group of 50 engineers will be sent to research and design centres in South Korea and China for further training.
During his visit, the President had a demonstration of the new Kia Sonet car, which is in production at the plant.
