President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Khiva Gilamlari carpet factory.

Established in 2020, the enterprise worth US$24 million annually produces 4,2 million square meters of carpet and carpet products, which are exported to the USA, China, Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

The factory has modern equipment from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Turkiye. 750 people are employed there.

The Presidents got acquainted with the production process and “showroom”, as well as the exhibition of Uzbek products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand organized on the territory of the factory.

The relevant ministries and departments were instructed to exchange experience and develop cooperation and trade.
