On March 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the governmental delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov.
The Leader of our state sincerely congratulated Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov on his recent appointment and wished him great success in this responsible activity.
In turn, the Head of Kazakhstan government conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The meeting considered the issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Kazakh multifaceted cooperation. In particular, special attention was paid to the formation of a new agenda of practical interaction in preparation for the forthcoming joint events at the highest level.
The need to remove barriers and adopt agreed measures to increase the volume of mutual trade, including during the activities of a working group chaired by authorized ministers was stressed.
The issues of deepening cooperation in industry, transport and logistics, which are key areas in the strategic partnership of the two states were also discussed.
The expediency of actively promoting a new portfolio of investment programs in priority sectors and infrastructure projects of regional importance in the field of transport and energy was noted.
The President of Uzbekistan stressed the importance of continuing close and systematic contacts at the level of Government to radically expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
