At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko will pay an official visit to our country from February 7 to 9.

According to the programme of the visit, high-level negotiations are planned, during which practical aspects of further development of Uzbek-Belarusian multidimensional cooperation will be considered.

The focus will be on increasing mutual trade turnover, developing cooperation in such sectors as agriculture, light and food industry, pharmaceuticals, communications, and others.

Programmes for the development of partnership in vocational education, health, culture, sport, and tourism will also be discussed.

Following the negotiations, the adoption of a package of bilateral documents is planned.

It is worth mentioning that during these days, in anticipation of the visit, a number of business events are taking place in Tashkent with the participation of regions and business circles of both countries - the Second Interregional Forum and a meeting of the Business Council.
