On December 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation from the State of Qatar led by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center (ROLACC) Ali Bin Mohsen Bin Fetais Al Marri.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Al Marri conveyed to the Head of our State the sincere greetings and best wishes of the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The dynamic development of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar has been noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade and investment is growing, major joint projects are being prepared and implemented.

The sides reviewed the preparations for the forthcoming important international event in Uzbekistan - the award ceremony of the global prize "For Outstanding Achievements in Combating Corruption", established on the initiative of the Amir of Qatar.

Mutual interest was confirmed in further developing practical cooperation, exchanging experience and implementing joint training programmes in the field of anti-corruption.
