The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has visited a military unit in Surkhandarya.

The large-scale reforms being carried out in the defence sector of our country are an important factor in increasing the combat effectiveness of troops and improving the activity of military administrative sectors.

In this military unit, all conditions have been created to improve the combat readiness of the soldiers. Training buildings, spiritual and educational rooms and a gymnasium are equipped with the most modern technologies and facilities.

The Head of State inspected the conditions created in the military unit, military equipment and weapons used for border protection. The importance of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles was stressed, and the issues of their production were discussed.

The President was informed about the work on increasing the potential and strengthening the material and technical base of the Armed Forces, the readiness of personnel, the management and maintenance of modern weapon complexes and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The head of state had a flight demonstration of the Bayraktar TB2 reconnaissance and combat unmanned aerial vehicle.
