The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the Economic Cooperation Organization summit.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed greetings and best wishes from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov.
Current issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed in detail in the context of the implementation of agreements at the highest level.
The parties noted with satisfaction the consistent development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen multifaceted cooperation and in-depth strategic partnership.
A practical cooperation is expanding in the fields of trade, industry, energy, water management, transport and other priority areas.
Interregional and cultural-humanitarian exchanges are actively carried out. In October of this year, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were successfully held in Uzbekistan.
The Presidents of the two countries reviewed the regional agenda and issues of cooperation within the framework of multilateral structures.
