The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, who is visiting our country to participate in the ECO summit.

The parties discussed issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighbourliness and comprehensive strategic partnership.

Mutual trade is growing dynamically and cooperation projects are being implemented in industry, energy, agriculture, transport and other priority areas. A rich programme of cultural and humanitarian exchanges is underway.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan stressed the importance of practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level.

The Heads of State separately discussed the early launch of practical implementation of major infrastructure projects in the Central Asian region.
