The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the "Orano" Company Claude Imoven on the sidelines of the Uzbek-French Business Forum, held in the city of Samarkand as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron.

"Orano is the world's largest producer of uranium and nuclear fuel, with assets worth €29 billion.

During the meeting, initiatives to expand cooperation in the field of geological exploration and uranium mining were supported.
