On October 30, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliyev.

They discussed the results of the joint work carried out within the framework of the presidency of Uzbekistan and issues related to the preparation of the forthcoming summit of the Organization.

It should be noted that the multilateral partnership of the Turkic states has gained new momentum over the past year. More than 100 events were held and a number of new platforms for practical interaction were created.

Uzbekistan has also become a full member of the International Turkic Culture Organization.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the OTS in the fields of trade, green economy, investment, innovation, transport and logistics, tourism, ecology, youth policy, popularization of cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples.
