Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the new infrastructure objects and reviewed the preparation processes for the upcoming autumn-winter season in Tashkent.
In recent years, the capital has been growing both in terms of population and new territories, leading to increased opportunities for infrastructure development.
In the Shaykhontakhur district, near the "Pakhtakor" stadium, a new substation has been constructed. As part of the project, over 19 kilometers of cable have been laid from the "Traktorsoz" substation, and two transformers have been installed. The facility will be operational next month, providing an additional power source with a capacity of 130 megawatts in the city center. Other city substations will be relieved, resulting in a 60% reduction in incident rates.
During the visit, the President was briefed on the construction and modernization of the power supply system in Tashkent. Currently, five more substations are under construction, while four others are being upgraded. Together, they will provide a total power capacity of 850 megawatts.
