In accordance with the agenda of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a solemn award ceremony took place, during which the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was honored with the highest award of the Organization - the Honorary Sign of the CIS - for his outstanding contribution to the strengthening of friendship, good neighborliness, and multifaceted cooperation.

It is noteworthy that in recent years, Uzbekistan has been increasingly active in the affairs of the CIS.

Our country successfully joined 24 bodies of sectoral cooperation and actively participated in the activities of 64 CIS structures.

During this period, the President of Uzbekistan put forward over 70 initiatives in various significant spheres, most of which have been successfully implemented with the support of member states of the CIS.
