The President of Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev completes his official visit to Russian Federation and arrived in Tashkent.
During the meetings with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the current issues of further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia were thoroughly discussed. The discussions also focused on expanding multidimensional cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, economics, investment, energy, transportation, communication, culture, humanities, and other priority sectors.
The Leader of Uzbekistan also held negotiations with the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
A number of important events took place in the run-up to and during the visit. These are the Fourth Meeting of the Joint Commission at the Level of the Heads of Government, the Interregional Conference of Rectors of Universities of Uzbekistan and Russia, the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation, the opening of the Uzbekistan pavilion at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, Meetings of the Subcommissions of the Bilateral Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation and others.
Along with this, the President of Uzbekistan, together with the Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan, attended launch ceremony of Russian natural gas supply to our country.
