On October 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on an official visit to Moscow, held negotiations with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
The meeting took place at the Coordination Center of the Russian Government.
The discussions focused on current issues of bilateral economic cooperation.
The Head of our State commended the successful organization and conduct of the third Forum of Interregional Cooperation, during which documents worth $3.5 billion were signed between the regions of the two countries.
Special attention was given to maintaining the momentum of trade turnover and expanding cooperative ties. To ensure effective coordination in enhancing industrial cooperation, a joint working group has been established.
During the discussions, issues related to joint implementation of projects in the digitalization of healthcare, education, and the introduction of e-commerce in Uzbekistan were addressed.
The broad potential for further development of practical partnerships between the regions of both countries and the realization of specific projects was highlighted.
An agreement was reached on exchanging experiences in urban planning and housing renovation. In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan invited the Prime Minister of Russia to visit our country on an official visit.
The Uzbekistan delegation was briefed on the operations of the Coordination Center of the Russian Government. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin provided a detailed information to the President of Uzbekistan regarding the functions and activities of this permanent institution, established to ensure efficient and synchronized efforts of the executive authorities.
