 As part of the program of the state visit to Qatar, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the World Expo Doha 2023.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Heads of State and Government of Iraq, Yemen and a number of other countries participated in the solemn event.

«Expo Doha» is the first global green exhibition to be held in the region. The event runs under the slogan: «Green Desert, Better Environment» and will continue until March next year.

The forum participants got acquainted with the expositions of advanced technologies and achievements in the field of environmental protection, ecosystem development, introduction of «smart» agriculture, cultivation of new types of crops, creation of innovative gardens, and other areas.

The national pavilion of Uzbekistan, organized within the framework of the exhibition, featured the latest technologies in intensive farming and livestock breeding, environmental management, presentations of horticultural and food industries of the country.
