On October 1, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the Board of Nebras Power Mohammed Al-Hajri upon his arrival in Doha.

Nebras Power is a leading Qatari energy corporation with major projects in over 10 countries worldwide.

During the meeting, practical aspects of advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in promoting new projects in the energy sector, particularly alternative energy, were discussed.

The Head of our State welcomed the commencement of a project, with the partisipation of Qatari company, to construct a state-of-art steam-gas power plant with a capacity of 1.6 GW in the Syrdarya region.

Preparations for the construction of a thermal power plant in the Surkhandarya region are nearing completion. Joint plans were discussed for the establishment of energy storage systems with a capacity of 600 MW in the Tashkent region and the launch of 1 GW wind power generation in Karakalpakstan.

 An agreement was reached on the adoption of a long-term partnership program, including promising projects, particularly in the field of green energy.
