On September 19, as part of the events of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the United States of America Joseph Biden.

Current issues on the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed. The US President confirmed his strong support for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the course of ongoing irreversible reforms in New Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was paid to the promotion of practical cooperation projects with leading American companies and banks.

The outcomes of the bilateral meetings with the business community and the business forum held on the eve of the visit of the President to the USA welcomed.

Special attention is paid to the continuation of constructive interaction in the field of human rights and gender equality and other areas in the field of human dimensions.
