On September 18, as part of the program of a working visit to the United States, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with our compatriots living and working in the United States and fellows of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation studying at leading American universities.
During the event held in an open and lively dialog format. Here, the President spoke about the development strategy of the New Uzbekistan, and drew attention to the huge potential of compatriots to contribute to the modernization of our country.
The comprehensive contribution of compatriots and diaspora organizations to the development of our country was particularly noted in the development of Uzbek-American cooperation, that has reached an unprecedented high level.
The Leader of our country has come up with a number of initiatives to strengthen ties with compatriots and support the activities of their public associations. In particular, it is planned to provide broad assistance in organizing Uzbek language courses abroad, develop special tour packages for compatriots to visit historical cities of Uzbekistan.
"We are striving to make the results of the ongoing reforms in education, healthcare, economy felt in the life of every one of our compatriots. We need to create all conditions so that you, high-qualified specialists, who have received education abroad and work experience in large companies, can return and take part in building a new Uzbekistan with your potential. It gives me great pleasure to see a strong sense of Homeland and a sincere desire to contribute to its development in every Uzbek present here. We look forward to seeing you in Uzbekistan", the Head of our State said.
The meeting participants noted that deep and large-scale reforms carried out by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will serve to further improve the well-being of the people and increase the authority of our country in the world community.
Compatriots working in large companies and studying at prestigious universities expressed their opinions and suggestions. An exchange of views took place on a variety of issues in society and the economy.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the great attention shown to them, compatriots emphasized their readiness to make a worthy contribution to the development of Uzbekistan.
