On August 20, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Board of the leading European OTP Bank Sándor Csányi during a visit to Budapest.

The President satisfactorily noted the successful implementation of the first major business cooperation project with Hungary - the entry of OTP Bank into the Uzbek market.

It was emphasized that the successful privatization of Ipoteka Bank has become an important signal and has increased the interest of foreign investors in our country.

Following the meeting, the issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of the banking and financial sector of Uzbekistan, including the improvement of the quality of services, introduction of innovative and affordable products, primarily for business, were discussed.

The importance of the early introduction of effective financial instruments to support and promote joint projects, including in the field of industrial cooperation, agriculture and other priority sectors, was noted.

Sándor Csányi, head of the bank, thanked the Uzbek Leader for creating favorable conditions for the expansion of investment activities of Hungarian companies.
