An open dialogue between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and entrepreneurs is taking place at the International Congress Center.

The first such meeting was organized on August 20, 2021. At the suggestion of the head of state, this format has become a tradition and this day is defined as the Day of Entrepreneurs in our country.

At the beginning of the current meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated businessmen on the holiday, expressing his respect and best wishes to them.

“Entrepreneurs have always been a great force in any country. In Uzbekistan, we are taking measures to develop the economy, create jobs, reduce poverty and improve makhallas. Who contributes the most to this? Entrepreneurs! Each one of you is a hero. We are proud of you, - said the President.

It was noted that thanks to the conditions created, business is developing dynamically. Last year, the number of small businesses increased by 40 thousand, medium - by 2 thousand, large - by 400. The annual turnover of 155 enterprises has exceeded $100 million thanks to the incentives provided. The volume of annual foreign investments reached $10 billion for the first time.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from August 18, 44 of our compatriots who distinguished themselves in increasing the economic power of our country and the welfare of the population were awarded state awards. On the occasion of the event, orders and medals were solemnly handed over to their recipients.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 17, 126 active entrepreneurs were awarded the “Faol Tadbirkor” badge.
