On July 31, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The sides discussed topical issues of further expanding Uzbek-Turkish multifaceted cooperation and strengthening relations of comprehensive strategic partnership.

The progressive dynamics of practical interaction in political, trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as fruitful contacts among the regions of the two countries have been satisfactorily noted.

The importance of promoting new projects for industrial cooperation in energy, mining, food, textile and other sectors was emphasized.

The schedule of upcoming joint events and holding the next meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council at the summit level was considered.

There was an exchange of views on regional agenda issues.
