The issues of further development of bilateral practical cooperation, promotion of cooperation projects, and expansion of mutual trade were at the center of the talks between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held on July 24.

The Azerbaijani leader cordially congratulated the head of our state on his birthday, warmly wished him a sound health and great success, and the multinational people of Uzbekistan peace, well-being, and prosperity.

The fruitful results of the visit of the Uzbek government delegation to Azerbaijan and the results of the regular session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission held last week in the city of Shusha were noted with satisfaction.

The sides emphasized the importance of forming a package of firm agreements and understandings for the forthcoming Summit.

A special attention was paid to the continuation of active cultural and humanitarian exchanges, as well as close interaction on international platforms.
