On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Turkmen Leader warmly congratulated our President on his birthday, sincerely wishing peace, well-being and prosperity to the brotherly Uzbek people.

The sides discussed the issues of further deepening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.

The sides satisfactorily noted the consistent expansion of practical interaction in industry, energy, agriculture, transport and other spheres.

The Leaders also exchanged views on regional agenda issues and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
