On July 13, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level, acceleration of preparation and promotion of major investment projects during a telephone conversation.

The Amir of Qatar extended his sincere congratulations to the Uzbek Leader on his convincing victory in the recent presidential elections in Uzbekistan.           

On behalf of the friendly people of Qatar, the Amir wished the President and the multinational people of Uzbekistan peace, well-being, sustainable development and prosperity.

The leaders agreed to take the necessary measures to ensure the unconditional implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the Amir of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 5-6 this year.

The importance of holding a meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission and a Business Forum with the participation of leading companies of the two countries was stressed.
