The issues of further development of comprehensive cooperation and implementation of large-scale investment projects with the participation of leading Emirati companies were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan extended his warmest congratulations to the Uzbek Leader on his overwhelming victory in the recent elections, and sincerely wished the Uzbek people well-being and prosperity.

He also conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan.

Topical issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed. High dynamics of trade turnover growth, as well as an increase in the number of joint ventures and air flights between the two countries were noted with satisfaction.

Currently, the portfolio of investment projects exceeds $4 billion and covers areas such as green energy, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism infrastructure and other sectors.

The Emirati side is also providing technical assistance in the implementation of socially significant programs in Uzbekistan.

The importance of continuing an active dialogue at the top level and promoting major trade, economic, investment, financial and humanitarian cooperation projects was stressed during the conversation.
