The issues of further enhancing practical collaboration, supporting cooperation projects, and continuation of active humanitarian exchange were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The President of Belarus sincerely congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on his convincing victory in the presidential elections and wished great success and prosperity to Uzbekistan.
The observed growth in the trade turnover and increase in the number of projects in medicine, pharmaceutical, textile, and other industries were satisfactorily noted.
In April this year, the Uzbekistan Culture Days were successfully held in Belarus, and in May, the premiere of a joint film took place in Tashkent.
The two countries’ Leaders noted the importance of intensifying the activities of the Uzbekistan – Belarus Intergovernmental Commission.
Moreover, the issues of interaction at regional platforms, as part of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, were considered.
