The issues of further enhancing multifaceted relations and promoting joint projects were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The Leader of Azerbaijan cordially congratulated the Uzbek Leader on his decisive victory in the presidential elections and wished the friendly people of Uzbekistan peace, well-being and prosperity.

A special attention was paid to the preparation for the upcoming summit. The importance of a thorough study of the economic agenda at the level of the governments of the two countries was noted.

There was also an exchange of views on issues of interaction as part of international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Turkic States.
