A telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took place.

The Tajik Leader sincerely congratulated the Uzbek Leader on his convincing victory in the early presidential elections held in Uzbekistan the day before.

The issues of further development of multifaceted Uzbek-Tajik relations and practical cooperation, primarily in trade, economic, investment, energy, agriculture and other priority areas were discussed.

The schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events has also been considered.
